I have gone for the final option of reinstalling Windows 10 Pro from a USB stick without keeping files. After it has all finished setting up, I try to download Minecraft from the store, and again I get the same error. Is there anything else you can possibly suggest? I could try formatting and installing Windows again, but I'm not sure how it would give a different result Thank you Greg for the quick and detailed feedback.
I went through every step detailed in your response and none of them have lead to a resolution of the issue 0xFB error when attempting to install Minecraft Windows Edition from the Windows Store. Would there be a way to install Minecraft Windows Edition without the store? I should also mention that other Windows Store applications install just fine and that Minecraft had installed in the past and running fine for over a year.
Thanks Greg. I have the same problem. I've updated to latest version of Windows 10 and tried all of the above. Like some of you, I too had a son that was extremely disappointed last Saturday when he went to log on to realms to play with his friends. It said we needed an update for realms- update was not loading- Dad thinking rationally deleted Minecraft so I could reinstall with new update, all to be presented with the 0xFB code of death!
Since my HP Laptop updated and installed with no issues I knew it was not on Microsoft server side. Installed it read directions and poof!!! Having the same issue here. Originally started when I tried to update minecraft for windows 10 on multiple devices. Some worked but two of them would not update from version 1.
